NURSERY RECOVERY

IMG_2697.JPG

Typically, in fish-abundant reefs, parrotfish will graze on algae growing on corals and eat invertebrates that threaten to smother the growth of the young polyps. Hence,  it is important to help upkeep the nurseries by brushing away the overgrowth of algae and encrusting organisms.

EDUCATION

Volunteers immersed themselves in an educational experience at the Phi Phi Marine Discovery Centre. Marine Biologists taught students a variety of issues, including bycatch, the importance of reef restoration and ways they can be effective environmental stewards
